Week 2 Thursday

In class we are reading the Devil's Arithmetic. Hannah and Gitl have been sent to the showers at the Concentration Camp. Ordered to strip down, Hannah feared the showers. Thinking they would be scorched by acid, Hannah rejoiced when it was just cold water. After their showers they put on rags for clothes and were tatooed their new "name" on their arm.
