Thursday Week 8

I will be finishing Dawn Treader tonight. I will be taking the AR test as soon as I can. After I finish I will start The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund. I read the Prologue as sort of a "teaser" and I really enjoyed it. I am ready to start this book!

Week 8 Tuesday

I am reading Voyage of The Dawn Treader. I am enjoying this book very much. Eustace has turned into a dragon and they are trying to find a way to cure him. So far I have made it through half-way of the book. It is really good and I can't wait to see the movie!

Week 8

I am going to read like crazy tonight! I need 16 AR points by Friday! The book I am reading is 9 points! If I get 100% on it I will only have 13 points. I got the Fall of Reach today and hope to finish it soon. I still have to finish Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I am 1/2 way through.

Week 6 The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

I am reading this book before I go see the movie. I hope to finish it soon so I can go see the movie as soon as possible. I have found out it is 9 AR points! If I get 100% I will have 13 points. Not to far from my goal. King Caspian, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace, and Reepicheap the mouse have all been captured by slave traders.

Week 6 Monday

I am reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader right now. I want to finish it before I see the movie. I may stop to read another book I plan to read, but I will continue to read it soon enough. I have yet to check the AR points on it, but I seem to remember it being 5 points. I enjoy C. S. Lewis's works. I am not far in the beginning. They just entered the painting.

Week 5

Again I have read nothing. Although, I talked to Wes and he should tell you about the book tomorrow. If you do not approve it by next Sunday I will just get another book. However, reading this book would help me get my AR goal and it is a series which would really help me out. Plus I enjoy the war-time fiction stories like this story produces.

I have read nothing again today. I hope Mrs. Alexander lets me read that book soon. I din't want to get involved in another book.

Unfortunatly, I have read nothing today. I hope to get a book called Halo: First Strike. It was written by Eric Nylund. I hope Mrs. Alexander lets me read this book.

The library took Red Pyramid from me! :( It was overdue and sice there is a waiting list I could not renew my book. Tomorrow I will show you a book I plan to read it is entitled: Halo the Fall of Reach. It is a series and I really hope to read it!

I am reading this book. You may have heard of it. It is called the Red Pyramid. I have been reading this book for a very long time! I enjoy it, but it is big! I will reach my AR goal with this book.

In this Book Carter and Sadie Kane are still looking for their father. They have recently found out that Set has imprisoned their father just as Set did with Osiris long ago. They journey further into the mysteries in hope to find their father. During this perilous journey they have lost many people. I am enjoying this book and recommend it!

Week 3 The Red Pyramid

I am so excited! Tomorrow is Friday! And we get to help someone by having a car wash! I have raised over $100 so far! I hope my fellow classmates are doing just as well! In my book Sadie has gone to a kind of Egyptian god "heaven". She is talking to the god Nut. If you ask me this "god" junk is the real Nuts!

Well, I had a great day off! I read today too! Carter and Sadie are looking for a Book of Wisdom. It is supposed to tell about their enemy, Set. He was the god who imprisoned their father. Will they be able to defeat him?

I have been reading this book for a while. I hope to finish this book by this or next week. It is a good a book as I expected from the author, Rick Riordan. Carter and Sadie are currently fighting the god of spiders. They are waiting for a portal to open so they can escape.

Hey Mrs. Alexander! I had no access to a computer last night since I was at Grandma and Grandpa's the entire night last night. In this Book Carter and Sadie have defeated the Lepopards. They continue on their search for their missing father.

They are fighting a mythical creature that is part leopard and part fish. It is called a Lepopard. I am really enjoying this book, but it is very slow on action.

Carter and Sadie have found this clay-doll that's has come to life to answer their questions. Will their father ever be found?!?

Mockingjay

Sorry for the delay Mrs. Alexander. I have had no computer to blog on in the last couple of days. I think it is week 8. Anyway, I have finished Mockingjay and I am very pleased with it. Instead of Katniss killing President Snow she killed President Coin, leader of the rebellion, and has been forrced to move back to the remains of District 12. Peeta goes with her and they get married and have 2 children.

Katniss has been moved to District 2 where she has been shot.

Katniss is preparing the rebellion for a strike against the Capitol.

Week 6 Monday

Pages read-63-100 Katniss has gone to District 8 where there has just been a recent bombing. But, the bombing isn't over yet and they start bombing while Katniss is there.

Mockingjay Thursday Week 5

Pgs 52-63 Katniss and Gale have finally been released into the woods to go hunting and have killed many animals for food for District 13.

Week 6 Monday

Mockingjay- 1-52- I have really been enjoying this book. Katniss has decided she will lead the rebellion as the Mockingjay, under some conditions. She wrote out a list and one thing she wrote on her list was I KILL SNOW, and I could not agree with her more!

Thursday- on Kindle- Katniss has returned to the ruins of District 12 only to find her old home, coated in ash.

Week 4 Tuesday- Catching Fire

Pgs read 335-end- Katniss has been captured! But not in the way you would think! She has been captured by a rebellion! Although she fight and screams she eventually becomes accustomed to this place. When they reveal they are going to District 13 or "The District in Ruins". Katniss has figured that the massacre in District 13 must not have completely destroyed everything if there are people and plot of rebellion. As Katniss awakes one last time before the book ends she discovers that Gale has also come aboard and has come to Katniss' aid! But when she asks if Prim and her mother is okay. Gale gives her a look of grief. She ask again and he tells her on how the Capitol has dropped firebombs on District 12 explaining the burn marks he has. Tears fill he eyes and she asks one more time, this time demanding an answer! He can only look up and say "Katniss, there is no more District 12."

Catching Fire, Week 4, Monday

Pgs. read 120-335- Katniss has been called back to the arena and has made many new-found alliances. Many tributes have died and only 7 currently remain. Katniss has discovered the arena is in the shape of a clock each hour revealing another horrible and consequential punishment. Will she survive this dastardly game that the Capitol finds so amusing?

Catching Fire Week 3 on Thursday.

Pgs 63-120- I was right and so was President Snow! A rebellion has started in District 8 and there is complete chaos. Also, a new Head Peacemaker has been appointed in District 12 and he is not like the former Head Peacemaker, Clay, who would let almost anything and everything slide and has whiped Katniss' friend Gale. He received this grueling torture for hunting in the woods which is extremily illegal and is punishible by death. Luckily Katniss was able to stop the lashing, but not before being hurt herself. Will Gale surivive? I sure hope so!!!

Week 3

Tuesday- Catching Fire pgs. 1-63

        I am really enjoying this book! Katniss has just gone to District 11 to recieve her plague for winning the Hunger Games as a greuling reminder by the Capitol that they are in charge and it is going to stay that way! President Snow, the president of the Capitol and the 12 Districts, fears that on on-coming rebellion may be on its way!

Week 3- Catching Fire

Monday- I have just received Catching Fire from the library and as soon as I finish this log I am going to read it! I hope it as intresting as A Mary says it is! I cannot wait any longer! Bye!

I am about to got the library for Catching Fire, the second book in the Hunger Games! I am so excited and don't worry Aunt Mary I will let you borrow it!

Left Behind: The Kids (Book 2)

In this story the rapture has just happened and it is all starting to unwind for four teenagers, all left behind and are forced to care for each other. They must all accept Jesus as they work for let alone survival! I highly recommend this book for many kids who enjoyed the Left Behind books. Or anyone that would enjoy the Left Behind books but, would want to read something more on their level or just want to read something small than the Left Behind books with the same message.
